Ladies, Gentlemen, dear partners, dear friends,
After a period of reflection, the New Horizons Foundation is now looking forward to a new era.
Founded in 1996 by the late Doctor Édith Lucie SASSOU GUESSEAU, wife of BONGO ONDIMBA, our Foundation has always been guided by the desire to create a framework of expression and inclusion for
young people with disabilities in Gabon.
Today, we’re committed to going further, higher, while remaining the driving force behind an ecosystem of support and change.
Our Foundation, with its strong history, values and expertise, aims to consolidate its position as a resource center in the field of support for children with disabilities in Gabon and Africa. Our approach is based, first and foremost, on the need for early diagnosis.
We firmly believe that by intervening at the earliest stages, with
with appropriate care, the young person can aspire to a form of autonomy. Our aim is to use the Foundation as a springboard for better integration into society. By cultivating a caring atmosphere, we create an environment where every young person can flourish with dignity. We are working hard to strengthen our Foundation so that it can meet these ambitions.
We surround ourselves with qualified experts, modernize our facilities and train our staff. We want to drive inclusion and change by encouraging innovation and training. Today, the reopening of our Foundation is a call to action, collaboration and solidarity.
We are the New Horizons Foundation, and we aspire to a better, more inclusive world for children with disabilities.
